Learning to Grow

I had a wonderful time at the Tufts Pre-College Summer Accelerator. Attending two classes: "Russia's War on Ukraine" and the "Social Psychology of Racism, Prejudice, and Discrimination," both classes challenged me to learn at a rigorous pace and helped me grow as a student. Additionally, both classes were very relevant to my life. In my "Russia's War on Ukraine" class, I learned about the causes and effects of the war, ultimately allowing me to apply my knowledge and make educated guesses on the potential ends of the war for the final project. In the "Social Psychology of Racism, Prejudice, and Discrimination" course, I was constantly engaged as my Professor taught about a new topic within the umbrella of the social psychology of racism, prejudice, and discrimination each day. For the final project, I had the opportunity to present my own hypothetical research project and predict results, which allowed me to deeply consider relevant issues tied to the social psychology of racism, prejudice, and discrimination and learn about the process of conducting research.

Throughout the program, I had the chance to explore Boston and the Tufts Campus. I also met people from all over the country and world, making friends of diverse backgrounds and learning about many different cultures than my own.
