Make Change for the Better: Leadership for Social Change
This summer I participated in the Leadership for Social Change program with the Tisch College of Civic Life at Tufts University. At first, I was hesitant to do a virtual program, but LSC exceeded my expectations. From the lectures to the community LSC formed, I now feel prepared to go out in the world and make change for the better.
In the lectures I learned about types of violence, language, diversity, equity, inclusion, and so much more. Through the lens of Tufts professors, I was able to grasp an understanding of the current issues in the world and what solutions would help make the world more equitable. Our papers each night were stimulating and furthered our knowledge of the lecture that day.
The community LSC formed also helped shape each of us as leaders in our own communities. All of the people I meet were so kind, uplifting, and passionate. I felt like my voice was heard. I recommend this program to anybody interested in social justice and ready to be a leader!
