The [Lab Science Investigations (LSI)](https://universitycollege.tufts.edu/pre-college/browse/lab-science-investigations) Pre-College Program at Tufts University was a unique and remarkable experience for me. This program featured **an in-depth syllabus on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)**, including **guest speakers** from all different professions relating to the subject, as well as experience in a BSL 1 lab on Tufts campus. 

**I’ve always had a love for all kinds of science but in particular that of emerging diseases and pandemics.** The Lab Science Investigations program was oriented around exactly that. **This program sparked great interest in me.** I discovered many career paths that I would consider pursuing as well as some lifelong friendships. 

Not only did this program provide an excellent education but it also exposed me to **Tufts’ incredible and diverse community**. Each of Tufts three campuses (the main in Medford, the vet, and the medical) are so beautiful and hold great communities of educators. 

I cannot put into words how amazing the two weeks I spent at Tufts University truly were. **I gained great knowledge, perspective, and skills from this program.** I’m so thankful for such an extraordinary experience, and I highly recommend this program for anyone who has an interest in science and helping to solve one of the world's rising health issues.
