My experience with the program is something valuable for me. The course materials are straightforward and engaging by explaining concepts in a way that’s easy to understand. One notable takeaway is how the course taught us about AI tools and services beyond machine learning algorithms, which is more relevant now. Besides course content, I enjoy spending time around the campus with my classmates, which is another key experience of these pre-college programs. One memorable experience is the karaoke and board games afternoon activity, where it’s a party.
Before I joined the program, I expected that I would get more details and hands-on experience in the technical aspect of machine learning algorithms. Although this program didn’t go too much in depth on this, I was satisfied by how these concepts were introduced in a visually engaging way, so I can get a better picture of machine learning algorithms and techniques. I also like how the course introduced additional concepts like data bias and ethics, which unlock a new way of thinking and approach. Therefore, I would recommend this program to students wanting to get started in exploring machine learning and AI.
Regarding the on-campus experience, what I like is that you don’t have homework after class every day, which gives you plenty of time to relax and enjoy campus life. With this plenty of free time, you can socialize and participate in scheduled afternoon activities, or simply have social time around your residential building. Also, the food on campus is a buffet style, which allows you to choose a variety of high-quality food options. While the residential hall building is well-built and polished, the dorms for most students are small, and the mattresses are not very comfortable (but they work fine).
Overall, you get a complete and well-featured college experience when you pay nearly five thousand dollars in tuition. You should give it a try if you can!
